Class Notes and Assignment: Week of 3/2

Last night we watched the first part of a Bill Moyers Journal interview with Andrew Bacevich.
Please watch the second part for next time. After watching the entire interview you should be able to define the following terms:
  • profligacy
  • consumerism
  • hubris
  • empire of consumption

I've added the Journal to our list of article sources, so feel free to blog about this interview or any other government related interview you find at the site.
We also did some review for the mid-term exam. I'll be posting a copy of a final exam from last year's class to Blackboard for your review.

  1. I have completely forgotten how to link a URL to our posts. Can someone please help me with this. I know you highlight a word in the post, but how do you get the website to appear once you click on it. thanks

  2. hey meg, all you have to do is just highlight the word on your post and then highlight and copy the web address of your article. then on your post you will see a little icon that kind of looks like a globe and you will click that and erase everything that is in in the box then paste your address link into that box and then that should be that! i hope this helps!

Hey dawn, I totally agree with you. I would much rather be making more history with the whole moon thing rather than more gases from coal being exposed to everything on our Earth.

  7. How do you post your source? If we mention our source within our post, do we still need to link the source?

  8. Yes, please provide a direct link to the source. This saves you the trouble of providing a full text citation to the source in your post.
